Do you want to get a first insight into marine biology? Do you have an eye for the smaller reef inhabitants and would you like to get to know them better? Then this theoretical specialty course is just right for you. This is followed by a guided dive where you will be shown what you have learned underwater.
Prerequisites
• Completed diving training (SUBEX-Diver, CMAS/VDST 1 Star, OWD SSI/PADI)
• 7 logged dives
• Minimum age 14 years
About the course:
Aim of the course:
- You will get a first insight into marine biology.
- You will be introduced to the connections in the marine ecosystem, large habitats and communities.
- You will get to know the representatives of the most important marine animal groups and their biology as well as typical plants in the sea.
- The topic of environmentally friendly diving is being discussed.
Course content:
- 1 theory unit on the following topics: ecology, the Red Sea, coral and environmentally friendly diving.
- 1 dive, where you will be shown what you have learned theoretically in the underwater world.
