Description
In the advanced course “Diving Safety & Rescue” you will be familiarised in theory and practice with preventive accident avoidance and the measures to be taken in the event of a diving accident.
AIM OF THE COURSE
The aim of the specialty is to learn how to react confidently to certain dangerous situations. The course participants learn how to deal with nitrogen narcosis and oxygen poisoning and how to behave correctly in the event of losing a partner and in severe currents.
You will learn basic skills such as how to handle your own and your partner’s equipment, how to take environmental conditions into account, sign language and communication under water are adapted to deep dives and clarified once again.
After the course, the participants will be able to carry out a rescue in a professional manner.
COURSE CONTENT
In 3 practice dives you will learn important skills for emergency situations. (Dives and diving equipment not included in the price)
Theoretical sessions at briefing and debriefing.

PREREQUISITES & FURTHER INFO
Prerequisite for participation in this course is an Open Water / 1-Star Brevet and 30 logged dives. Minimum age is 16 years.
A “First Aid Course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR (e.g. from the Red Cross) is required to obtain the brevet. We recommend that you complete such a course before your diving holiday. We can also provide such a course on site (96 CHF / €).
Recommendation: We recommend booking at least a 6-person diving package so that the skills you learn can be practised.
Our course fees are for a number of participants from 2 to max. 4 persons. If due to the guest situation only 1 participant takes part in the course, a single supplement of 72 CHF / € will be charged for each training course. Of course, each training course can be booked as a private course (surcharge 120 CHF / €) upon request and for an additional fee.
