Customer Support

Whether you are a guided or independent diver, your SUBEX instructor will provide you with a comprehensive pre-dive briefing on what to expect in terms of topography, animal kingdom, currents and safety measures. If required or desired, the guest will be assigned an experienced guide. Groups never comprise more than 4 divers. The guide sets up each guided dive as an underwater nature trail, which will then be comprehensively discussed afterwards.

Requirements

All divers will enjoy their hobby with SUBEX. As per usual international practice, the diver simply has to bring proof of their training. Inexperienced divers – usually with fewer than 20 to 30 dives – or divers who are not yet judged to be independent enough after the Welcome Dive are accompanied by an approved SUBEX diving guide.

Technical Service

All SUBEX diving gear is periodically serviced and always well-maintained by specially trained staff in fully equipped workshops at all bases. Naturally, these sites and expert support from diving instructors are available to guests.

Safety

All bases and diving boats have excellent emergency management processes and aid services such as oxygen, the Wenoll system, VHF radio, mobile phones, first-aid box and trained staff. External pressure chambers are also available.

Transport of Equipment

The crew at all bases will take the heavy diving gear to and from the boats. With any dive from shore, the guest only has a short distance to walk to the access point. Tanks are handed over at access.

Pick-up Service

In order to allow guests to stay at a hotel of their choice, we will drive them to the bases in Hurghada and Sharm-el-Sheikh in the morning and bring them back in the evening. Pre-registration is recommended for organisational reasons.

All our bases are equipped with state-of-the-art communication technology such as e-mail, Internet, fax and telephone. This allows each customer to contact their desired base quickly and easily from anywhere in the world.
