The snorkelers and free divers can go exploring either independently or accompanied by a certified snorkel guide. In each case, a briefing on the snorkeling place will provide an overview of the expected coral and fish, flow conditions, the proper technique when diving and snorkeling, and the best route. In addition,after the guided snorkel trip, the participants will information on names and characteristics of the observed fish and corals.

Here an overview for the SSI Snorkeling Diver Course:

The course takes about 1, 5 to 2 hours and includes equipment, basic knowledge about fish, coral reefs and environmental protection. Furthermore, we practice in effect how to handle the equipment and how to behave correctly as a snorkeler at the reef. This includes as well a training about how to get into and out of the water, a calm swimming position and how to behave in case of different currents. The snorkeling certification will be handed over as a certificate at the end of the course.
