What I give to the Underwater World, I get in return

Ever since SUBEX was founded in the 1960s we have undertaken as one of our missions the goal of making active contributions toward a better understanding of the ecological and economic uses of the flora and fauna of the sea.

This mission is important not only to the SUBEX staff but to our diving guests as well. Implementation of this goal can be seen in the way we conduct our diving programs and diving education which, since the beginning, have always been pursued with utmost care for top quality and security.

The SUBEX Philosophy, THE ART OF DIVING, reflects these considerations and is inherent in all of our programs, aiming to give every diver „adventure – environmental conscience – security“, emphasizing responsible treatment of the underwater world.

Many of these valuable activities center around the preservation of the “sea habitat” and are based on the initiative of the CEO and partner of the SUBEX Red Sea Diving Centers, Johann Vifian, who has made his business live up to his personal convictions.

As a co-founder of HEPCA, some of the highlights of his career worth mentioning are his initiation and publication of the El Quesir Charter and the Reef Check Study of El Quadim Bay.

Recognition is well deserved for these achievements, which, after much patience and engagement, have now led to awareness on the international political level and shall continue to be pursued with the goal of creating a holistic conscience of the importance of the protection and preservation of the “underwater world habitat”.
